Congrats to the Science Olympiad Team

Kennedy's Science Olympiad team competed this last weekend at Rice University in Houston Texas. They competed against 36 schools, several of which are in the top 20 in the nation, and came away with some huge successes.

Jordan Thompson also assembled a specific kind of bridge, called a boomilever, made of balsa wood IN THE HOTEL ROOM, which medalled, getting him 5th place.

Nobel Creativity Opportunities Tri 2

The Gifted and Talented department will take Nobel students to the History Theater on Thursday, February 22nd to see “A Crack in the Sky”. This will be its world premiere and it features two local playwrights, Harrison David Rivers and Ahmed Ismail Yusuf. The play is described as, “ From Somalia to the U.S.A. 1984. A young shepherd boy stands in front of his mother to tell her of the decision he has made in the night. He has had enough of the nomadic life, of herding goats and sheep, and is leaving to seek out a better life. With that, he sets off on an adventure that takes him on the road less traveled from Somalia to Minnesota.
