What Can Teachers Do When Gifted Students Are Bullied

I don't know if this piece is as relevant for high school kids - but if it is please use me as a resource.  I want to make sure that all JHS kids feel safe and valued at school.  This piece is from Richard Cash, former BPS GT Director, and it's something that I found helpful as the parent of an elementary aged gifted child.

DAHS Pre-ACT testing

We learned recently that covid contact tracings have identified several of our students who need to be put on quarantine. Because of this, these students will be missing this Saturday’s PreACT testing. We do have a virtual back up plan. If your child is feeling sick or suspects contact with someone who is positive for Covid, please do not send them for the testing this Saturday. Contact us for an alternative testing plan. I recently read this article and I think it's really interesting. I think the assumption that all bright students can be tutors is flawed. I think this will be an interesting piece to discuss with teachers.
